Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is currently making a statement to the media ahead of the closure that will begin tomorrow at 2:00 PM and will last until October 11 (Simchat Torah exit).

According to the Prime Minister's announcement last night, after the general closure, a "breathing closure" will be imposed for another two weeks.

The fundamental change in the new closure in relation to the current closure concerns the workplaces.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Health, all jobs will be closed, in contrast to the partial presence in the current closure.

Exceptions will be the places defined as essential.

Already in the current restrictions, places of entertainment and recreation have remained closed.

Regarding the demonstrations, after quite a few arguments and confusion, it was decided in a sweeping way to demonstrate more than a kilometer from home in a group of up to 20 people. Non-closure, the ombudsman clarified that a demonstration in Balfour would allow up to 2,000 people.

According to the Ministry of Health, 6,883 verified carriers of the virus were identified yesterday.

The rate of positive tests for the virus in the tests remains rising to 14 percent.

The death toll from the virus rose to 59, and since the outbreak of the plague in Israel, 1,342 people have died, compared to 442 in September alone.

It was revealed today that no 20 deaths were reported due to a malfunction and that the reporting of them was delayed for various reasons.

This means that the increase in the number of deaths is not only due to those who died today, but gaps in the existing reporting every day.

And yet - today a very significant gap was discovered.

The hospitals currently house 1,367 people - 685 in critical condition, of whom 175 are respirators and the number of all active patients is 59,842.

More than 209,000 people have been infected in Israel since the outbreak of the plague.
