Oil prices tumbled about eight percent today, affected by renewed fears of demand crashes in light of the rise in new cases of coronavirus around the world, while crude stocks reached a record level in the United States.
Reuters reported that Brent crude futures fell $ 3.18, or 7.6 percent, to settle the settlement price at $ 38.55 a barrel.
US West Texas Intermediate crude fell 3.26 dollars, or 8.2 percent, to close at 36.34 dollars a barrel, as the two crude suffered their worst daily losses since April 21 and 27, respectively.
