Five RATP unions are launching a call to strike on Thursday, December 17 on Monday.
They intend to protest against "the consequences" for the agents of the imminent opening to competition of the networks of the management.
This call "to mobilize massively" is launched to "all the staff of the company" by the first two representative organizations of RATP, Unsa and CGT.
The SAT, Solidaires and SUD unions are joined.
This strike was decided "to illustrate the discontent and the concern which animate each agent of the RATP on the consequences of the competition", in particular the conditions of transfer of the employees towards private companies, explain the five unions.
Fears about the future status of agents
In mid-November, given the health crisis and the reconfinement, these unions had decided to postpone sine die a first call to strike on November 19.
Now, the health situation "tends to soften slightly", note these organizations.
These five unions are worried about the conditions of transfer of RATP agents to private operators when the networks of the agency are open to competition.
The bus network will be the first concerned from January 1, 2025.
They criticize the content of the territorialized social framework (CST) prepared by the government for this opening up to competition.
In their first call to strike, in October, the five unions saw in this CST a text of "social setbacks" in particular as regards "working conditions, remuneration, annual leave, rest, increase in working time. work, liquidation in the long term of the RATP staff regulations ”.
