Washington-SANA

The US Army Deputy Chief of Staff Alexis Ross has resigned, according to what a source in the Pentagon announced today.

"Ross resigned from his post last Tuesday to join former Chief of Staff Jane Stewart and senior Pentagon officials overseeing policy and intelligence," CNN quoted a ministry official as saying.

According to the American Network, the flurry of changes within the ministry in recent days have led to tension within the Pentagon and raised a growing sense of concern among the military and civilians about what might happen next.

US President Donald Trump dismissed Defense Secretary Mark Esper from his post on the 9th of this month and appointed Christopher Miller, Director of the National Counter-Terrorism Center, as acting minister, two days after losing the presidential elections and winning the Democratic candidate, Joe Biden.
