China on Saturday accused the United States of practicing
"intimidation"
by banning downloads from TikTok and WeChat from Sunday, and threatened to retaliate.

"If the United States persists in its unilateral actions, China will take the necessary measures to resolutely protect the rights and legitimate interests of Chinese enterprises,"
the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said in a statement.
