Berlin (AP) - Williams driver George Russell has clinched his second win in a row in the virtual Formula 1 series.

After 39 laps on the simulated city circuit in Monaco, the 22-year-old Brit won in front of Esteban Gutierrez (Mexico) in a Mercedes. Third place went to Ferrari driver and local hero Charles Leclerc. Russell had given Sebastian Vettel's teammate two weeks ago on the Barcelona virtual circuit.

David Schumacher, son of Ralf Schumacher and nephew of record world champion Michael Schumacher, ended up tenth in the principality. The virtual racing series is intended to offer Formula 1 fans some entertainment during the Corona break. Drivers are always driven on Sundays on which, according to the race schedule, a Grand Prix would have taken place. Several of the current pilots are there, but also drivers from other series.

Prominent football professionals were also guest starters this time. Ex-Dortmund and today's Arsenal professional Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was 16th, three places behind Belgium's national goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid) over the finish line. The multiple world champions Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton have not participated so far.
