April is usually asparagus season in Germany, which traditionally ends on St. John's Day (June 24th) with the so-called "Asparagus New Year's Eve." The vegetable is a true superfood as it contains a lot of magnesium, folic acid, copper, and vitamin E.

Due to its high potassium content, it also has a diuretic effect. This purifies the body - which not only has positive effects on weight, but also improves the complexion as the skin appears cleaner and fresher. One kilo of white or green asparagus should be on the menu every day. Avoid high-calorie side dishes such as hollandaise sauce or potatoes. If you decide to follow a diet with the popular vegetable, there are a few things you should keep in mind: avoid sugar, bad carbohydrates, and, in any case, alcohol as much as possible. It's not for nothing that there is even a separate asparagus diet - similar to the coffee diet.
