Salim Berrada, a 38-year-old photographer, is accused of raping or sexually assaulting 17 women between 2014 and 2016, luring them to his home via dating sites. A sentence of nineteen years of criminal imprisonment was requested Thursday before the Paris criminal court.

The verdict is expected Friday evening. The plaintiffs, most of them in their early twenties at the time, have come in large numbers every day since the trial opened. They were pressed against each other again this Thursday while the attorney general returned to each of their stories.
