The Holzkirchen volunteer fire department looked back on an eventful and, above all, busy year. The active team of 113 firefighters was on duty for 2,884 hours in 215 missions in 2023.

The defense team clocked up over 591 hours in 41 exercises. The troops were on volunteer duty for over 3,475 hours. The youth also showed a lot of commitment. With three youth groups, the club is not plagued by any worries about young talent, commander Ludwig Würmseer said happily. The successful Kogelfest had a positive effect on the club's coffers, as the income primarily benefits the active team and youth work. The members took part in numerous events, including Patronage Day, the Corpus Christi procession, and the Market Square Carnival. In addition to the three-day fire brigade trip, there was also a lot on offer within the club. The club was able to promote seven young firefighters into active service. There were also a few other promotions on the list.
