People are particularly happy about the 18 managed mountain huts, which are mainly located around Brauneck. There are currently around 180 hosts with 2,500 guest beds. 80 percent of them are privately rented. The municipality wants to address and win new target groups beyond the current visitor clientele. The younger generation places more value on sustainability and is more nature-conscious. Mobility and public transport are the biggest challenges.
