FTX Founder Sam Bankman-Fried Sentenced to 25 Years in Prison for Cryptocurrency Fraud. A federal jury convicted Bankman, 32, in November of two counts of fraud and five counts of conspiracy.

The Prosecutor's Office requested a sentence of 50 years. He has been held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since then. His bail was canceled following allegations that he interfered with witnesses. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison for his role in the multimillion-dollar cryptocurrency fraud.
