A centre-left opposition Democratic Party (PD)MP who campaigns for gay and human rights, said: "The government's appeal against the Emilia Romagna government'sdeliberations that applied the Constitutional Court's sentenceshows all the ideological fury of this Right against people's rights. "Not only do they not hear the cry of pain from so many people and families that demand freedom and dignity up until the end, but they also rail against the precise indications of the Constitutional court," he said. Alessandro Zan, a centre-right opposition MP for the Democratic Party, said: "The government's appeal shows that it does not understand the cries of people who want to die with dignity and freedom.
