The foreign ministers of Germany and the United Kingdom, two of Israel's main global supporters, visited the country to avoid an escalation after the Iranian attack. Annalena Baerbock and David Cameron met separately with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Isaac Herzog.

Cameron admitted after meeting with President Herzog that "it is clear that the Israelis have made the decision to act" and expressed his hope that they will do so "in a way that escalates [tension] as little as possible. This is exactly the question that worries the international community. In the successive meetings it has held in recent days, amid international calls for containment to prevent the escalation from reaching a point where it is difficult to reverse, the war cabinet has considered bombing facilities in an effort not to cause deaths, according to the local press.
