Maria Waffler is a master confectioner and has worked as a pastry chef in numerous renowned establishments. The ice cream laboratory and bakery were set up opposite the town hall in the former butcher's shop.

“EisWaffler’ will celebrate its opening at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20th, in Hohenpeißenberg, near the city of Schächen. It is the first ice cream parlor to open in the town in almost two years and will be open until the end of the year. The parlor will be run by a team of three people, including a trained chef and an ice cream lab manager, who will help with the production of the ice cream.
