The owner of some flower fields in the district now offers PayPal at his trusted checkouts. In the past, he said, customers drove again because of a lack of cash.
Now, customers can now pay for their self-picked flowers using the online payment service PayPal on Kreuzstrasse, in Sufferloh, and in Kleinpienzenau. “You don't have to do it just for the money anyway, anyway," says Johann Christian Lang, owner of Egmating. The fields would also help insects and bees feel comfortable, Lang says, adding that they are more of a passion than a source of income for the family. The payment service costs him fees, and Lang cannot imagine that this would reduce the number of thefts. But those who are honest but don't have cash can now take advantage of it - which is the most important thing for Lang, who says he doesn't want to make money from his fields but from his customers.
