The Argentine Agroindustrial Council (CAA), made up of 61 chambers and associations, held its in-person plenary meeting this Thursday within the scope of the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange. The CAA made progress in the process of institutionalization and establishing itself as a non-profit business entity to promote, prepare, and disseminate proposals that make federal, inclusive, sustainable, and export development.

In this session, the proposals of the CAA's Federal Agro industrial Plan presented last year were presented. The plan proposes in 10 years to reach exports of US$ 100,000 million and generate 870,000 new jobs. The work includes a schedule for the elimination of export duties for agroindustrial products. The soybean complex, which today is the crop, would be reduced over 10 years, reducing 3 points per year, and the meat and dairy complex would be reduced in three years, at a rate of 3 points per year. The proposal was presented by Juan Pazo, Secretary of Planning and Management for the Productive Development and Bioeconomy of the Nation.
