The company MWS Westfalen Werke NDS GmbH has to file for bankruptcy again. Hundreds of jobs at the former Hülsta-Werke Hüls Gmbh & Co.

KG are at stake in the bankruptcy. This means that the wave of bankruptcies in Germany will continue unabated in 2024. After the bankruptcies of a giant in the construction industry, a well-known German food chain, the furniture manufacturer HüLsta has now had to file for bankruptcy. The decisive reasons for the bankruptcy are the significant decline in sales, as the company reports. In particular, the 'other furniture' segment, which includes the living, dining, and bedroom furniture, recorded a massive drop in sales in the last quarter. The company is faced with a challenging market situation in the furniture sector, and the slowdown in the building of new apartments is having a negative impact on the industry, says Managing Director Dr. Stefan Hainke in the press release.
