Aviad Edri was murdered on October 7 in his home in Kfar Gaza. Five months after the massacre, his family discovered that he was buried without central organs.

"They underestimated the honor of my son," said his father Itzik to Walla. "Let them not tell stories, they knew it, and damaged the trust we have in the country." Itzik added. Out of its 950 residents, 63 were murdered, 19 were kidnapped, including four who are still in captivity, and two were killed by IDF forces during a self-rescue attempt. A year after the brutal massacre, it is not yet clear when they will return to their homes. "Our ability to recover depends largely on bringing all our friends home," said community manager Efrat Sharabi, who clarified: "Our strength depends on the strength of the community. "We have become refugees, bereaved, hurt, and missing in a part of our community that is still captive in Gaza."
