[HIGHLIGHTS] The US blocks Palestine at the UN, the anger of the PNA and Hamas

At 11pm Italian time, after enormous pressure from the Arab states, the USA blocked the draft Security Council resolution with a veto. The text obtained 12 votes in favor (Algeria, Russia, China, France, Guyana, Sierra Leone, Mozambique, Slovenia, Malta, Ecuador, South Korea, Japan) and two abstentions (Great Britain and Switzerland).

"We vigorously support a Palestinian state under a peace agreement.
