Oliver Kahn has spoken out about his relationship with Uli Hoeneß. The former keeper was dismissed from FC Bayern last summer.

Kahn has not spoken to Hoeneüss since the separation last summer, but he doesn't feel the need to. "If he says something like that, he must have been missing something," he says of the former Bayern CEO's claims that he only called him five times during his time in office, according to a report in Die Welt. The many positive moments in 18 years at FC Bayern outweighed the bad ones, Kahn says. 'Then you need some time, shake yourself – and then you move on,' he adds. The Bayern fan also says that he has always overcome difficult times. The interview with Sports Bild was published on Thursday. It is available in German and English on the Sports Bild website and on the German version of the German edition of Sports Bild, which is published in English with the headline 'Kahn and Hoeneß will sit at the table again at some point.'
