The Olympic and Paralympic equestrian events, as well as the pentathlon, are taking place this summer in the grounds of the Château de Versailles, in the Paris suburbs. A stadium - U-shaped with a view of the castle in the distance - was specially set up for the occasion.
Several structures in the park have been restored and redeveloped to be transformed into obstacles for the cross-country event. Once the games are over, everything will be dismantled and the park of the Palace will be rendered almost identical.
