The home tournament from June 14th to July 14th starts for the hosts with the group game against Scotland. Ukraine, Poland and Georgia are also the last teams to qualify for the major event.
Germany is placed in Group A as hosts and has to survive against Scotland, Hungary and Switzerland in the group phase. The games are played in the ten cities of Berlin, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich, Frankfurt and Stuttgart. Many of the games will be shown on free TV.
