The annual NBA play-in tournament kicked off tonight (between Tuesday and Wednesday) with two crucial games in the West. The game between the Lakers and the Pelicans started with a duel between LeBron James and Zion Williamson.

The New Orleans star had a stellar performance including 40 points and a clutch block, but was injured near the end, and saw the Lakers win 106-110 en route to a series against Denver. Sacramento then humiliated Golden State and left them out of the playoffs for the first time since 2021. The games were played in New Orleans, Los Angeles, and Sacramento.
