The bodies of the two children were found in a field in Forges-les-Bains, about forty kilometers south of Paris, during the night from Thursday to Friday. The mother had filed a complaint against her partner Thursday afternoon for domestic violence committed between December 2023 and early February 2024, according to the prosecution. The driver then told a caregiver that he wanted to commit suicide by crashing his car into a tree after killing his two children and abandoning their bodies.
