Sido is certainly not considered an artist who is squeamish when dealing with swear words. At Christmas, however, allegedly gentle tones are sung in the house of Würdig - gentler than in Sido's lyrics anyway.
On the occasion of the holidays, the 39-year-old rapper and his family sing the classic Christmas carols instead of his hip-hop songs, his wife Charlotte Würdig now told the online radio station "barba Radio". Her oldest son is now six years old and so slowly understand his father's songs, said the TV presenter.
"Papa says shit a lot"
"When we hear the 'daddy music', but he has noticed that the dad often 'shit' says," said the 41-year-old. The two of them would then have come up with an appropriate explanation: "If dad says 'shit', it's kind of an art and that's part of that song, so let him say that."
Sido, with his real name Paul Würdig, is one of the most famous rappers in Germany. He sits on the jury of the casting show "The Voice of Germany", most recently he won the Radio Prize 1Live Krone in the category "Best Artist".
Charlotte Würdig, née Engelhardt, moderated, among other things, the ProSieben program "taff". After the birth of her first child, she retired from show business and is rarely seen on television.
