(ANSA) - NEW YORK, DEC 16 - Since he was in office, the American president Donald Trump has made 15,413 false or misleading statements. This is what the Washington Post states, according to which the number has grown much faster this year, especially due to the issue of the Ukrainian government and the impeachment proceedings. In 2017, the daily FactChecker database states, Trump made 1,999 misleading false statements, while in 2018 they were 5,689, for a total of 7.688. And that number has already more than doubled in just one year.
The most repeated claim by the tycoon - 242 times - is that US economic data is the best in history. Certainly Trump is right in saying that the situation is roseaper in the country, however the Wp writes that he did not do so well as the former presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower, Lyndon B. Johnson, Bill Clinton and Ulysses S. Grant.
