Robert Kubica and Alfa Romeo Racing seem to be getting closer for 2020 in Formula 1. The now ex-Williams driver would be ready to sign for a move to the Biscione team to be the development driver for the next season. The Polish driver has talked to other teams for a similar assignment, but seems to have reached an agreement with the team that came 8th in 2019 and which has the Italian drivers Antonio Giovinazzi and the former Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen as official drivers. The role the Polish driver would assume would be to help develop a new simulator, something the Pole should do well having used Mercedes' F1 simulator before returning to driving for Renault and Williams.
The Polish driver left his Williams seat in 2020 in favor of the young Canadian Nicholas Latifi who will be in charge of George Russell in the next Formula 1 season.
Kubica is also looking into the possibility of driving in DTM next year after testing for BMW in November. His name as a test drover has also been associated with two other Formula 1 stables, the Haas and the Racing Point.
