Maxisequestro chemical waste in Gorizia

(ANSA) - TRIESTE, DECEMBER 30 - Thousands of liters of chemical waste were seized by the Carabinieridel Noe of Udine in a company in San Lorenzo Isontino (Gorizia), operating in the electronic components sector before the liquidation procedures. The illiquidator was deferred to freedom. "The incessant activity on the territory of the agents of the Arma - says the Minister of the Environment, Sergio Costa - is a guarantee of protection of the health of the citizens and the environment, to these men I address my warmest appreciation". The Noe intervened on request of the territorial weapon and ascertained criminal violations. Within the area of ​​approximately 2,000 square meters and in the absence of the necessary authorizations, a stocking of different materials was found, including chemical liquid waste in 101 drums of 200 liters each, 43 tanks from a metrocube, 100 drums of 50 liters and a tank about 50 cubic meters.
