(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 1 - In 60 years of career with his inseparable cameras - first the heavy Rollers, then with the more versatile digital ones - his 'clicks' have gone around the world, immortalizing situations and characters that are now part of of our history. The shots of the photojournalist Elio Vergati, 80 years old, in fact, have been published on the most important national and international agencies and newspapers. Like the bloody images of the "Black September" massacres of December 17, 1973, or that of the attack on the Israeli company "El Al" by a Palestinian commando on December 27, 1985. Some of these his shots earned him second place in the Pulitzer Prizes and World Press Photo. Today, despite not being a youngster for a long time, Elio Vergati ends his journalistic career in the Telenews press agency, for more than 50 years ANSA's "rib" at the airports of the capital, and for 53 years directed by the journalist Lamberto Magnoni.
