According to police, the fire in a three-star restaurant in Baiersbronn in the Black Forest caused damage in the seven-digit range. As a result, no one was injured.
The old building of the restaurant in the hotel "Traube Tonbach" is completely on fire, said a spokesman for the police at night. The restaurant was still on fire in the early morning. "It will probably burn down completely," said the spokesman. A fire alarm in the kitchen area struck at night. When the fire department arrived, open flames were already visible.
No people were accommodated in the affected building, as the spokesman said. Since the smoke had also moved into the main hotel building, 63 guests had to leave it. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
