"The only international language ever is a child's cry": The British Eglantyne Jebb (1876-1928) founded the "Save the Children Fund" in England on May 19, 1919. On January 6, 1920, she founded the "Save the Children International Union" in Geneva. There are currently "Save the Children" branches in 30 nations. The organization was active in 120 countries in 2018 and raised 38.6 million euros in donations.
