Luke Skywalker's interpreter agrees with fans' suggestion to give him a major role in future season 2 of the hit series

It's a great story, which started on social networks in 2018, and is relaunched on Twitter. After the success of the first season "The Witcher", launched on Netflix on December 20, fans of the series, who also know the novels and video games from which this saga of heroic fantasy is based, have made a suggestion.

Very rich, the saga has many twists and turns and as many characters who will appear over the seasons. The next one, confirmed by the platform, will notably tell how the hero, the “witcher” monster hunter Geralt de Riv (interpreted by Henry Cavill), should return to Kaer Morhen, the fortress of witches, and find Vesemir there, veteran witcher who is his master.

The broadcast of the series coincided with the release of "The Ascension of Skywalker", the last "Star Wars", which marks the last appearance of Mark Hamill in the guise of Luke Skywalker, the fans therefore demanded that Hamill be the interpreter of Vesemir in season 2 "The Witcher", as they had already done in March 2018 during the presentation of the series by Netflix. The actor, renowned for his sense of humor and very present on the network, had then tweeted: "I have no idea what it is or what it is about, but I agree with the fact that I should / could interpret this character ".

I have no idea what this is or what it's about but agree it could / should be played by me. 👍

Almost two years later, therefore, revived by fans and a Twitter post from the IGN site, the interpreter of Luke Skywalker comes back… and the idea seems to have taken hold. "I still have no idea what it is or what it is about, but I KNOW they never asked me to play Vesemir ... at least not yet. A tweet that he accompanied with the series hashtag and another: #CallMyAgent ("call my agent")!

I still have no idea what this is or what it's about, but I DO know they haven't ever asked me to play Vesemir ... yet. # CallMyAgent https://t.co/8gZpuwfsMi

That wink was quickly followed by a message from Lauren S. Hissrich, the creator of the series, who responded to Mark Hamill with an emoji to signal that she understood the message.

Packed, fans believe it, especially since they have since found a message, still dating from 2018 on the official Twitter account of the series, which showed a drawn image of Vesemir on which had been photoshopped the face of… Mark Hamill.

Nothing has yet been signed between the actor and Netflix, but the case is on the right track, and could be a great way for the platform to launch season 2 when it is released ... probably in 2021.
