Seized ambulance, 4 cameras and Gps

The 39 ambulances operating in Naples will be equipped with 4 external cameras, GPS for localization in the area and body-cam for staff: the first will come into operation on 15 January. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - NAPLES, JANUARY 7 - 4 external cameras, gps for localization in the territory and body-cam for the staff will be equipped with the 39 ambulances in service in Naples: the first one will start operating on January 15. This is what emerged from the comparison in the Prefecture convened to examine the measures to counter the phenomenon of aggression against doctors and operators of ambulances and health facilities.
The meeting, held in close connection with the Minister of the Interior who is following the work with particular attention, was chaired by the deputy prefect vicar, Rotondi.
From 15 January, with an installation frequency of approximately 48 hours for each rescue vehicle, all ambulances will have cameras, gps and body-cams. The new contingents of drivers, as well as 567 nurses and 30 doctors hired following the completion of the competitions, will take service in the Asl Napoli 1 Centro, while 4 new ambulances will be put into circulation by April 2020.
