(ANSA) - VICENZA, JAN 10 - A 25-year-old from Vicenza was identified and reported today by the Carabinieri of Bassano delGrappa (Vicenza) because he was believed to be the author of the damage to some gravestones and plaques affixed to the oaks of Viale dei Martiri, in the historic center of the city, in memory of the partisans stolen by the Nazis in September 1944 during a Nazi exploit. Vandalism dated back to a few days earlier. The investigation led to the collection of some testimonials to verify the video surveillance images. Just from the films it was possible to see the young man kicking his fists at the tombstones. From the movements and above all from some frames that shot them in the face, the military recognized the young man, then joined in his home. The man was accompanied to the offices of the Arma station where he admitted his responsibilities by justifying them with futile reasons.
