(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 10 - ISIS celebrates the death of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani on January 3. In a press release, reports the BBC online, the Islamic State describes the death of the head of the Qods division as an act of intervention that divinely does the good of the jihadists without making any reference to the United States.
Soleimani was one of the main protagonists of the Isis struggle in many crisis areas in the Middle East. The immediate consequence of his death, following protests by the Iraqi government, was the suspension of the ISIS operatives in Iraq by the US-led coalition and the training of the Iraqi military for reasons of security.
