The minimum number of 64 signatures has been reached and exceeded to present the question of the referendum against the cut of parliamentarians. This is learned from parliamentary sources, according to which, in the last hours, substantial support would also have come from Northern League senators. At 13:30 then the list of signatures should be published and the filing in Cassation is expected in the afternoon.

"This morning I withdrew the signature on the confirmatory referendum on the cut of the parliamentarians. I withdrew it, because my position was exploited by some and misrepresented by others". Senator M5s, Mario Michele Giarrusso writes on Facebook.

"They have not resisted the desire to hold on to the seats and apparently the 'help' of the League has arrived" in the collection of signatures for the referendum on the reform on the cutting of parliamentarians. This is underlined by M5s sources . "We can't wait to kick off the referendum campaign to explain to the citizens that there are MPs who would like to block this cut, thus stopping the savings of around € 300,000 per day for the Italians which would result in the elimination of 345 seats".

The senators of the Democratic Party Francesco Verducci and Vincenzo D'Arienzo withdrew the signatures from the proposal for the referendum on the constitutional reform on the cutting of parliamentarians. Dem sources explain that the two senators would have done so as a consequence of "a new political fact" and that is the presentation of that proportional electoral law proposal, which from the beginning had been requested by the Democratic Party in relation to the cut of parliamentarians.
