(ANSA) - BOLZANO, JAN 16 - Pollution warning on the Danube in Vienna, where, according to the police of the Austrian capital, a 30 km long oil strip was spotted, from Korneuburg north of the city, up to Schwechat to the south. The causes of pollution are still unknown for the moment. To facilitate safety work, the Danube has been closed to navigation in this section. Anti-oil barriers have been established. Furthermore, the drinking water wells in the area have been closed.
