LOS ANGELES (AP) - Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are officially divorced.
Court documents indicate that a Los Angeles judge finalized the process that ended the brief marriage of the 27-year-old American pop star and the 30-year-old Australian actor.
The couple separated and Hemsworth filed for divorce in August, about eight months after marrying Cyrus.
Hemsworth and Cyrus have no children, and none asked for support. The documents cite irreconcilable differences as a reason for its rupture.
In a statement announcing their separation, both said they chose to focus on themselves and their careers, but that they would continue to be "dedicated parents of all the animals they share."
The “Wrecking Ball” interpreter and the “Hunger Games” actor had an intermittent relationship for about a decade before getting married in December 2018.
The day after Hemsworth filed for divorce, Cyrus denied on Twitter that infidelity was the reason.
"I can admit many things, but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of infidelity," Cyrus said in several tweets. "Liam and I have been together for a decade. I've said it before and it's still true, I love Liam and I always will."
