Klapisch's not always great family, speed racing on trains, a James Bond era Roger Moore… Here is the menu for your so

COMEDY. A family we love!

At 8:55 p.m. on Arte. How old he is, the fourth feature film by Cédric Klapisch, the author of "Young Peril" and "The Spanish Inn"! Perhaps because it is one of the rare plays that was sublimated when it appeared on the big screen. A caustic and invigorating comedy that had been run in before by its authors, Agnès Jaoui and Jean-Pierre Bacri, of which it was the second joint work. They rehired for the cinema all the distribution that had created the play on stage.

We are therefore not surprised to see the actors so comfortable camping this family which is found like every Friday to dine in Henri's restaurant. But that evening, nothing is going well: Arlette, Henri's wife, left for a week "to think". Philippe, Yolande's husband, is concerned about what others have said about his time on the regional television news. As for Yolande, it's her birthday, but almost everyone doesn't care…

Jean-Pierre Bacri already has his tender hearted bougon character with a Droopy head. Facing him, Agnès Jaoui, his rebellious and stubborn sister, Wladimir Yordanoff, his brother, Claire Maurier, his mother, and especially Catherine Frot, his sister-in-law, who stands out here as a remarkable actress. Without forgetting Jean-Pierre Daroussin, the hilarious waiter. The last two logically won a César the following year, as did the Bacri / Jaoui duo for the script. Note that Cédric Klapisch, as in many of his films, makes three small appearances here in flashbacks where he plays the father of the family, who disappeared at the time of the plot.

DOCUMENTARY. On track for records

A railway saga almost as fascinating as the conquest of space. / RMC DISCOVERY

At 8:55 p.m. on RMC Découverte. Making the race for train speed records almost as exciting as conquering space is the challenge taken up by this documentary. Tracing the last 70 years of railway history, it recounts in detail the various tricolor attempts to remain the leader of the rail and reach 574.8 km / h in 2007, before the last Japanese records at more than 600 km / h and the new projects by the American Elon Musk.

We are more aware of the intensity of the first post-war tests, carried out without a safety net. Especially in 1955, when the Alsthom and Jeumont-Schneider companies aligned to exceed 300 km / h. A fierce competition and an identical result. At least, officially. That year, the SNCF announced a record at 331 km / h for the two locomotives. It is only 25 years later that we learn that that of Alsthom had not exceeded 320 km / h. The stake, the action and the suspense.

TELEFILM. Thank you boss!

At 9:05 pm on France 2. It took guts to embody Martine Monteil, superflic and first woman appointed at the head of Crim ', in 1996. Led by a passionate, Yves Rénier, himself often a cop on the screen, who has adapted the autobiographical book of the curator, Mathilde Seigner is doing it hands down in this role of leader of unadorned men.

The high verb and the tenacity slung, here it is ready to shake up this masculine universe to track down Guy Georges, the one who will be nicknamed the “Killer of Eastern Paris”, active criminal during the 1990s to whom seven murders have been attributed. This energized black thriller pays tribute above all to the obstinacy of the cops and their boss. Alas, it does not avoid some superfluous clichés and image effects.

SPYING FILM. Whiskey and little nuggets

The second James Bond by Maud Adams, and the penultimate by Roger Moore./Collection Christophel / RNB United Artists

At 9 pm on France 4. James Bond fans know that "Octopussy" is one of the few where an actress is entitled to a second appearance in the saga. A feat accomplished by the Swedish Maud Adams, who already played in 1974 in "The Man with the Golden Gun". Except this anecdote, nothing special to report in this 13th adventure of the British secret agent, in which is illustrated for the penultimate time Roger Moore, before passing the hand four years later to Timothy Dalton.

The Briton plays with his usual nonchalance, seducing a beauty between a car chase, a fight or a cocktail, no doubt himself not really convinced by a nebulous story mixing Fabergé eggs and risk of nuclear war. But the actresses are really beautiful, and the settings superb, including a long stay in India which is worth all the tourist campaigns of the world.

DOCUMENTARY. Trash life!

At 9:05 p.m. on W9. The M 6 group decided to mobilize for a week for the climate. This evening intends to alert viewers to the mountains of waste that we produce, and their very serious consequences on public health. The cause is salutary but, to move the lines, the chain does not skimp on the dramatization. She abuses scary music and alarmist comments.

"If nothing changes, there will be 70% more waste by 2050", immediately launched the voice-over, who then imagines the return of the plague because of the invasion of rats that swarm in Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille, Reims, La Rochelle, Strasbourg ... "There are so many rats that as soon as there is a health problem, it is transmitted very quickly to humans," added the journalist, showing many videos of trash invaded by rodents. These mounds of images of beaches and oceans filled with rubbish are revolting, but quickly nausea.

EDITOR'S NOTE: 2/5

"2050, waste: can we still avoid the worst?" , Unseen documentary by Anne Dontenville (1h23).
