A sixth case of coronavirus has been detected in France, announced Jérôme Salomon, the Director General of Health, in a press point this Thursday evening.
"He is a liberal doctor who was in contact with a case which was later confirmed in Asia," said the director general of health. The patient put himself in solitary confinement, and is currently hospitalized in Paris.
Five people had already been declared positive to the test implemented by the Institut Pasteur, in Paris and Bordeaux.
Two resuscitation patients
Among the previously reported cases, two people were placed in intensive care. The first is an 80-year-old man, who arrived in France on January 23 and was not initially identified as carrying the virus. The second patient is a thirty-year-old man, treated at Bichat hospital.
