(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 30 - The first cases of human-to-human transmission of the coronavirus 2019-nCoV date back to mid-December and therefore preceded even the notification of the first cases of the infection. This is indicated by the analysis that reconstructs the first stages of the epidemic, in which the infections have doubled every 7.4 days. Published in the New England Journal of Medicine, the analysis is by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CoC). Experts analyzed data on the first 425 confirmed cases in Wuhan to determine the characteristics of the spread of coronavirus pneumonia (Ncip) in the population.
