During the time in which the Air Canada plane was in emergency over Madrid, there were passengers who recorded what happened and spread it through social networks.

The aircraft had left the Spanish capital for Canada, but had to return after presenting problems with the remains of a tire that exploded in the air and got into one of the engines.

The flight was AC837 , which spent three hours flying over the city and the surrounding area because it had to lose fuel in order to land at the Barajas airport.

Twitter user Aaron C was one who recounted what was happening through his account.

We will be landing in an hour. It is a tire that went into the engine. We still have other tires and a military plane just checked us out to make sure all was ok. pic.twitter.com/iAdhzQCxh5

At 18.11 (Spanish time) Aaron C wrote his first tweet. He informed that in the pilots of the plane they told the crew that they were going to land “in an hour” and that the problem was in a tire that entered the engine. He also reported the custody of a military plane that was next to the Boeing 767-375 to check that "everything is fine."

Fifteen minutes later, Aaron uploaded this image capture, which he made of a video he himself filmed, which shows how the turbine catches fire: “When we took off there was a strong 'bang' under my seat and I saw smoke and flames from the left engine . The photo is from a quick video and one of the pictures shows the fire ”.

# AC837 so just at take off there was a huge bang under my seat and then I saw smoke and flames from the left engine. This pic is from a quick video I took and one frame shows the fire for a split second. pic.twitter.com/f67Tp43XI6

On the image capture you read "this happened on takeoff" and the flames are observed under the turbine.

At 19, the same user filmed the plane inside and the successful landing of the AC837 flight of Air Canada in Madrid.

Already on land, the user photographed the destroyed tires. At 18, another passenger, Carlos Castañeda, also tweeted while the world was alert about what was happening with the Air Canada plane. He warned that everything was quiet inside the plane and that "nobody worries."

He then recorded a video in which it looks like an F-18 aircraft of the Spanish air force escorting the Boeing 767-375. And he recorded another of how the weather was inside the plane. "Everything is quiet here," he wrote.

Finally, at 19.01, the user took a photo of the moment when the aircraft touched down again in Madrid.

At 19.34 the Canadian airline, Air Canada, reported via Twitter that the landing had been successful and that the return to the Barajas airport was due to a "motor problem." Fortunately the plane with 128 passengers on board and that flew over almost five hours the airspace landed without any problem.

According to the first versions the plane suffered damage to a wheel that exploded and then scattered remains of the tire that ended up inside one of the engines. That is why the pilot decided to turn off the engine and inform the control tower that he should make an emergency landing. The commander informed the crew that they had only lost one wheel, so there were no problems for the landing. From that moment the overflight began in the air that turned out to have a happy ending.
