Silvio Berlusconi and Veronica Lario have reached an agreement , ratified by the Court of Monza, which puts an end to the legal battle on the economic profiles of the divorce, closing all the pending issues . The FI leader, assisted by lawyers Valeria De Vellis and Pier Filippo Giuggioli, has given up asking for the approximately 46 million euros that his ex-wife owed him on the basis of the Cassation which confirmed the revocation of the divorce allowance. Lario, for its part, has given up asking for 18 million.

In essence, from what has been known, this morning the judges of the Court of Monza (president of the college Laura Gaggiotti) gave the green light to the agreement reached by the two parties. An agreement that passes precisely due to the mutual renunciation of claims and which closes all legal proceedings and, in particular, the 'match' on reciprocal foreclosures that had been arranged in the context of the dispute. Still on the basis of the agreement, Berlusconi, at this point, will only have to pay a one-off sum to the ex-wife, who at the same time, however, will contribute in part to pay the legal fees. The important point of the agreement, however, is that, on the one hand, the former premier renounces the approximately 46 million that Lario owed him and, on the other, the ex-wife, assisted by the lawyer Cristina Morelli, will no longer ask about 18 million. At the end of last August, the Supreme Court had established that Veronica Lario is experiencing a condition of "absolute comfort", which repays her for the "sacrifice of professional expectations" of the former actress, and that therefore she is not entitled to the divorce allowance, as already decided by the Milanese Court of Appeal (the court had initially quantified it at 1.4 million per month). The effect of this sentence was that Lario would have had to return exactly 46 million to the ex-husband. In the meantime, Berlusconi, through his lawyers, had also obtained an injunction from the judges of Monza for the foreclosures of his ex-wife's assets, in addition to those already foreclosed since 4 September, i.e. the current accounts in his name in 19 banks on which sums of money, securities, bonds and more were deposited. Accounts that were, in turn, blocked by Veronica in April 2017. The agreement signed this morning closes all pending issues, including proceedings on mutual foreclosures.
