A woman suffered serious facial wounds after being attacked by a pit bull dog that she had adopted a month ago, so she had to be operated on and she continued these days with an outpatient cure treatment.
The attack, according to sources, occurred on January 25 when the 32-year-old woman was at the bottom of her house with her 11-year-old daughter , who played with the animal, who attacked the adult and bit her at the height of the ear and jaw.
"He instantly attacked her, jumped into his face for no reason and no reason. He took out a whole part of his jaw, all the cheek," recalled Julio, the victim's husband
Speaking to TN , the man detailed how the whole dramatic situation was and how his wife managed to let go of the dog. "He put his hand on his neck and pulled him back to peel off," he said.
" Thank God it was tied because if it had not been another attack and we were not able to tell it. These dogs have instinct to jump around the neck, I thank God that he grabbed his face and not his neck," he said.
After revealing that the victim had to undergo several interventions to have part of her face rebuilt, she remarked that "she is psychologically wrong" and that "she cannot move her mouth."
The dog is an animal of a year and a half adopted by the family about 45 days ago and that was tied to a chain with a sliding wire at the bottom of the house, located in the mountain range Campo Los Andes, in Tunuyán, Valle from Uco, about 120 kilometers southwest of the city of Mendoza.
The animal had not had aggressive behaviors before the attack, its caretakers told the media, adding that the dog was already given for adoption.
The bites were of such magnitude that they disfigured the face of the victim, who had to be rushed to the Lagomaggiore hospital in the city of Mendoza.
The woman underwent a reconstructive plastic surgery and it was a very complex operation, after which she remained hospitalized for five days, and was discharged, although she was asked to continue the healing on an outpatient basis.
