In Lyon, 170 films with disabilities

From February 7 to 12, the capital of Gaul is hosting the 4th international film festival on disabilities, organized by Katia Marin-Marescot.


From February 7 to 12, Lyon is hosting the 4th international film festival on disabilities, organized by Katia Marin-Marescot. Under the graceful and humorous image of a mermaid standing on her fishtail, poster of the event, 170 films from all sources, short and feature films, animated films, fiction and documentaries.

In On Wheels by Mauro d'Addio (Brazil) wheelchair road movie, two teenagers go in search of the father; in Priya Ramasubban's Chuskit (India) an injured child dreams of going to school; in Amo r by Raphaël Rebibo (Israel), Daniel after a long absence finds Lila, his love of adolescence, become disabled ... These are some titles of the competition that will find the jury chaired by journalist Philippe Lefait.

Patrick Segal, writer and filmmaker ( The man who walked in his head, The dark night ) chairs the jury of documentaries where we will see in particular Do you feel what I see , by the Vietnamese Bich Vuong Ngoc, on the blind, The weight of the joy of Maxime Conjard (France / Reunion) on the dance workshop of Éric Languet or Cinderella Syndrome by Alexandra Dalsbaek (Azerbaijan), on a theater troupe which includes actors with Down's syndrome. Cambodian Davy Chou, and a master-class from Gérard Krawczyk complete an eclectic program.
