(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 7 - The sentence of the Court of Assizes of Appeal in Rome, which reduced the sentence for 14 to 5 years of imprisonment for Antonio Ciontoli, accused of the murder of Marco Vannini, his fiancé daughter. The Pg of the Cassation requested it, defining the story as "very serious and almost inhuman". For the Pg, also three-year prison sentences for Ciontoli's family members are to be canceled.
In Appeal, the voluntary murder had been denounced as manslaughter. For the Pg "Vannini died from the delay of the rescue" and "Ciontoli knew that Vannini would die".
