The Argentine passenger aboard the cruise ship that is in quarantine in Japan and is among the 61 people who contracted coronavirus was taken to a hospital. His name and country of residence have not been reported.

The data was confirmed to Clarín by spokesmen of the Ministry of Health of the Nation, although they could not give details of the identity of this person. "The official information that we handle by international health regulations does not allow us to say the person's name," they said. Nor did they spread their sex or their age.

"We are waiting for the report of their state of health. The protocol is that people who have positive symptoms are removed from the ship and hospitalized for their isolation and attention," the Ministry sources continued.

They also detailed that there are eight Argentines in total on the cruise. "The rest of the people (the other seven Argentines), who have no symptoms and are not positive cases of coronaviruses, are kept isolated in their cabins." Regarding these seven passengers, they pointed out that "as far as we know, so far, they are all well."
