(ANSA) - ROME, FEBRUARY 12 - The Senate room has in fact accepted the request for authorization to proceed against Matteo Salvini for the Gregoretti case, rejecting the agenda presented by Forza Italia and the Brothers of Italy. The document asked to say 'no' to the trial of the ex-minister of the interior and therefore to overturn the immunity junta's vote on 20 January. The League did not participate in the vote when leaving the Chamber. The Senate vote on the Gregoretti case is not final because, as President Elisabetta Casellati explained in the Chamber, the ballot boxes will remain open until 7 pm, to allow all senators to express themselves. Immediately afterwards the final and overall vote will be announced.
