Since January 1, 2019, you can buy a home in the old one, while reducing your taxation. The new Denormandie tax reduction, a variation of Pinel in the new, is aimed at individuals buying, for rent, a home to renovate, located in an average city. This system became more attractive in 2020 after the passing of the last finance law. However, before giving in to the sirens of tax exemption, carefully study the rental market in the coveted city and always favor the location of the property.
More housing affected in 2020
The Denormandie tax reduction applies to the purchase of premises that you transform into housing and to the acquisition of old housing to be renovated (house or apartment) for rental. You can also benefit from the system if you buy real estate from a promoter who has already renovated it, or if you subscribe to SCPI shares.
