Created in late 2017 after the Weinstein affair, the 50-50 collective, co-chaired by Julie Billy and Delphyne Besse, brings together 300 members and 1,500 supporters. We find there most of the trades and big names of the seventh art: Jacques Audiard, Rebecca Zlotowski, Aïssa Maïga, Léa Seydoux and producers such as Caroline Benjo and Harold Valentin. Their analyzes, based on quantified studies, and their discourse, posed and pragmatic, make it the leading movement in the modernization of the seventh art. The collective has obtained several concrete measures from the CNC and the government. Their gender charter has been signed by 123 festivals, including that of Cannes. In one year, 29 films respecting parity on set have benefited from a 15% bonus paid by the CNC.
